Iridology is the science and practice of examining the eye of a person in order to gain an insight to their level of health. It is a painless, non invasive and economical way to view the body systems and internal organs, and is a valuable tool in preventative health care.

“Each of us is equipped with a miniature recording screen that can gauge the status of our health – the Iris.”

The iris is the most complex external structure of the human anatomy. It is connected to every organ and tissue of the body by way of the nervous system. Through the optic nerves, which are attached to the eyes, vision information is sent to the brain. At the same time information is sent back to the eyes from the brain about your overall level of health. This is called the neuro-optic reflex.

Neuro pertains to a nerve or nervous tissue. Optic pertains to the eyes or sight. Reflex is an involuntary response to a stimulus.

“The iris reveals the characteristics of the body tissue, for example, the presence of acids, mucus or inflammation. Iris analysis also reveals the hyper (overactivity) or hypo (underactivity) functioning of primary organs, bodily systems and the hormonal system.

The iris indicates your genetic “blueprint” – the level of constitutional strength, and inherent weaknesses along with the changes that occur in the organs and tissues throughout life.

Therefore, as we are all individual, an iris analysis can give you invaluable information, specific to YOUR BODY, and guide you toward your individual pathway to health.

Clients should leave an iris consultation having obtained an understanding of: • What physical, lifestyle and emotional factors have contributed to their present condition. • What constitutional strengths and weaknesses they have and which dietary practices best suit them as an individual. • What areas need support or treatment to increase vitality or to regain health. • How to maintain health and practice preventative medicine.
