Colour Therapy.
It isn’t difficult to see the effect of colour therapy on living things, once it is known each living thing possesses a chakra fuelled energy system. The reason for attraction to a particular colour may be an effort at finding balance, to “feed” the particular chakra concerned.
Chakra colours are outlined here:
Red is the colour of the root chakra, for earth based energy, strength and vitality. On feeling depleted, this state of body mind often instructs a tendency to choose energetic colours like fiery red, or warm orange.
Orange is the colour of the sacral chakra, of creativity and flow, so if this area of life is dry and dull, meditation on this colour brings fluidity back.
Yellow or Gold is the colour of the solar chakra, of personal power and emergence, action in the world and getting things done. It’s bright and sunny, and can be used to give energy back in dull climates or in wintry weathers.
Green is the colour of the heart chakra, of growth, revival and expansion. A walk in nature very quickly brings about this feeling of space and connection. Tense meetings and busy schedules benefit from the almost instant effect of a walk in the park, surrounded by this rejuvenating colour.
Deep Blue is the colour of the throat chakra, useful in meditation for assisting with speech and expression. No wonder deep blue watery depths provide the stillness needed to collect thoughts and then create the essence of what wants to be said. It brings clarity to the mind.
Violet is the colour of the brow chakra, assisting in creating a balance of thought to incorporate higher ideas. It is the purpose of personal development and higher mind to problem solve at higher levels, as Einstein famously shows that no problem can be solved from the level it was created. This colour meditation brings about stillness and peace, to contemplate the required solution.
Magenta is the colour of the crown chakra, the source of life changing information and fulfillment of that information. It is the inspiration, the place where this comes from. Many young girls are drawn to this colour automatically in their favourite colour choices, just as young boys are drawn more to blues. It represents highest thought, and above all, inspiration.
Regular meditation and automatic attention to the colours required to bring about balance in the body mind, creates a self sufficient kind of resonance on the whole. The mind then knows innately what it needs to balance, and reaches for it, uses it, and personal development results.
